Post 12

I was focusing on making shadows of the characters just to play around with different effects.  I'm not a big fan of them mainly because there's too much going on.

Post 11

I attempted to make the nets look more realistic my filling the squares with a translucent white instead of keeping them the same color as the background.

Post 10

For this post, I threw my illustrations into photoshop and substituted the plain colored background into real sand and a real sky.  It took me about the whole class to do this for all five of my scenes.

Post 9

This class I was working on trying to close the fists of the characters so it looks like they are really holding the nets. I was struggling with this portion but finally troubleshooted and figured out a method to doing it.

Post 1

This is my first try at making my character. It took me about one and a half classes to create but since I have most of the shapes already created it should be easier to create the scenes.

The alienated zebra was hopping on a surfboard in the middle of campus.

I was having a really difficult time using the scissor tool during the process, but I troubleshooted and figured it out.

Logo 01

This is the base of my logo.  I was having a difficult time trying to rotate one of the rectangles while constructing the "n".  But once I figured out how to angle it correctly the shape was easy to make.

Logo Decision Making

I chose this logo because I liked how the arrows made it seem like the "n" was flowing through the entire image.  I think that the two letters balance each other out in size and it is memorable for me.

Hello World

Hi I'm Nick Bartlett. I'm a sophomore at Cardinal Stritch University. I play for the Men's Volleyball team. I was born and raised in Burlington Wisconsin with two older brothers.  I grew up playing mostly baseball until I discovered volleyball my freshman year of high school.  I worked for the Milwaukee Brewers this previous summer coaching kids from the ages of six to fourteen years old.  We traveled all around Wisconsin for different camps and stayed in hotels for the majority of the summer.  I'm currently recovering from a bulging disc in my back that's pinching a nerve and I hope to be healthy by January to play in this year's volleyball season.
